Dreamy Strawberry Milkshake Recipe

Strawberry Milk Shake

As we work our way through the grey days of winter, I've been enjoying/needing to brighten things up with pretty, colourful food.

This week, I was feeling particularly over winter after slipping on some ice and somehow kinking my neck.
In my mushy and over sensitive state, I went into my freezer craving comfort, I came out with a bag of strawberries.

When I was little, strawberry milk was my thing. Nothing could get me more excited than a "strawberry milkshaker" as I liked to call them. I loved it so much, but I know if I looked now, I wouldn't love the ingredients in it as much… straight up, the McDonalds one were the actual ultimate.

After playing around with some recipes, I re-discovered that strawberry milk (shakers) are still my thing... and that they still taste like my grandma's house, and those fun summer car rides to the cottage.  That bag of strawberries made me feel like a kid again, guys.
(Thank you universe for bringing me strawberries that day).

I am not ashamed to admit, I have enjoyed this healthy twist on this old favourite, guiltlessly, every day for breakfast this week. It takes a whopping 2 minutes to whip up and I have made sure that this recipe is friendly for your hormones and balanced enough so that you can get away with calling it a meal.
