Aloe + Matcha Facemask

Total body nutrition is about so much more than just food.

It's about what you feed your body-- your cells, your brain and your soul too!
Of course, we want to feed and fuel our body with the cleanest of things to support optimal function and health.

Sometimes we forget the importance of what we feed our skin.
I always remind clients that cumulative effects that smothering our skin in highly fragranced, chemical ridden products day after day, year after year.. especially when we're looking at buildups over 20, 30, 40+ years time.

I haven't bought a facemask in years, instead- using products I have around to whip up my own homemade face food masks with things from my fridge or cupboard.  Not only is this saving me money and space, but it's also ensuring that I'm feeding my skin something hella pure and hella fresh (which often means extra hella nutritious too).

Simply Nourished Aloe + Matcha Facemask Recipe:

This base of this mask has just 3 ingredients:

  1. 1/2 tsp Matcha Ninja

  2. 1 tbsp aloe gel

  3. A squeeze of fresh lemon or 5 drops of lemon essential oil

  4. Optional amazing addition: 1/2 tsp honey!

Mix everything up in a small cup and lather on a cleansed face.
Let absorb and dry for half an hour and remove with warm water and soft face cloth or a konjac sponge (great for gentle exfoliation).
Follow up with your favourite toner and serum.

This mask is great for nourishing the skin with huge amounts of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This will help even out your complexion and combat aging. The abundance of vitamin C will help support healthy collagen. This nutrition comes from the green tea and the lemon juice, which also has a brightening effect for the skin.  The aloe is cooling, calming and replenishing

Give this simple mask a whirl next time your face needs a little boost.
